Belonging to an old family of Venetian restaurateurs, in 1990 he deepened his experience at the restaurant “Ja Navalge” by Alfredo Chiocchetti in Moena, in 1992 at the “Auberge de l’Eridan” by Marc Veyrat in Veyrier du Lac d’ Annecy and in 1993 at “Les Prés d’Eugénie” by Michel Guérard, at Eugénie les Bains. In 1993 he returned to Italy and with his brother Raffaele Alajmo (in the room) he dedicated himself to the family restaurant, “Le Calandre” in Sarmeola di Rubano, which in 1996 obtained the second Michelin star (the first Michelin star was awarded to his mother, Rita Chimetto, in 1992). In November 2002 he was awarded the third star, thus becoming the youngest chef in history to have received this recognition.
